Arthur Meeks

A mysterious vampire leads the Umbral Vampires of New Orleans. Archibald is most likely one of the oldest vampires in the city, or he has gotten powerful in other ways. Nothing is known about the Umbral’s past. He has been in New Orleans longer than any of the other known vampires but was in a deep sleep for a long time. He arose as Lawrence came to power and the other Nosferatu in the city were nervous. Whether they found a way to waken the Arthur, or prehaps he somehow sensed their distress is not known, but one day he awoke and simply sat down at the vampire council. No one questioned him.

Like most Umbral, Meeks is a loner by necessity. He was disfigured before his turning, and his face is badly scarred from acid. That along with his Vampire pallidness, disturbs even other vampires. When he does have to pay a social visit he usually covers his face with a tarnished silver mask, and wears a deep cowl. He walks with a slight limp as if one of his feet were extremely heavy do to most of his right foot being twisted and burned. His looks make most people uncomfortable and they do not spend time with him, Davon being the exception. He and the Roma have a rare friendship.
