Celthy Calory (KEL-thee kuh-LOR-ee)
Sea of the Salt Nymphs
The ocean is where men go to die, where time slips like water from your fingers. What on Moecc could possibly live there?Being stranded at sea means death for all but the most skilled of sailors who manage to escape its barren, storm-riddled waters. But not for the Celth'wy, the salt nymphs, ancient descendants of the freshwater Undynes. To them, the great western ocean of Celthy Calory, called Celth'wyccolory in their tongue, is their land and their home.-- Cantran Sailor
Searoads and Moolthel
Where the rivers of the continent empty into the ocean, the searoads begin, stretching for hundreds of miles across the ocean floor. The roads follow the ocean currents and are thus typically used one-way. Waypoints, written in the Celthccet'yne script, mark the searoads and their settlements which the nymphs call Moolthel. Small Moolthel are built on the surface from kelp huts though the larger "towns" are dug into the sand and built along the rocky bottom of the earth using powerful nymphal magic. The Celth'wy are efficient and quick swimmers so covering long distances is little problem for them hence the spread-out nature of the Moolthel and the extensive searoads. The Far Ocean
Far beyond the shore are the true oases of the sea, unknown to almost all save for the salt nymphs. The eelfields, or eelcc'yeth, are breeding grounds for the giant eels, a primary source of food for the Celth'wy. And the great kelp jungles are home to thousands of species of fish, most undocumented by either nymph or land dweller. The kelp are a nutritious (though undesirable) food for the Celthy'wy. More importantly, they provide the raw materials for building their houses, fishing nets, and other tools.Sea's End
It is the Salt Nymph's who give our world its name, for they are the ones who know where it ends.Where the searoads end, so does the sea. At the edge of the world time slows and the waves become stagnant gray peaks. No creatures come here save for great sages and the insane followers of Maut, god of voids. The Ceth'wy call this place Menmoecc, or "the stillness." And thus comes the name for our world, Moecc, which simply means "in motion."-- The Druid Ewlie
