Anthemir

Let them build for me.
-- Anthemir, as recorded in the Holy Tomes of Tarnipury, Vol. 3
Anthemir is the sister of Helenaphe and is worshipped by the people of the Faunland. She is an ardent and proud goddess, having seating herself at the throne of her own people in the city of Fanfare. She was thought to have perished in the Great Fall of Fanfare though was later discovered to be living trapped beneath the ruins of her own city. She is associated with light, rice, smooth stones, and magnolia flowers.   She is often placed within the pantheon of Helenaphe as a lesser goddess, a tradition recognized officially by the Holy Church of Helen. Though in her own faiths of Tarnipury and Anotinism, practiced only in the Faunland, she reigns as supreme.

Personality

Anthemir is known for her stubborn wisdom which manifests in her many idioms and their continued usage throughout time. She is unafraid of toil but expects to be recognized for it, something which her sister Helenaphe rarely did which became a source of tension between them. She is ambitious though without clear goals, motivated to ever greater things. Though stories recount of her kindnesses, in most cases it was her angelic servants who should have been credited and not her; Anthemir has always harbored a secret penchant for cruelty. This shows in the justice system for much of the Faunland whose reasonable crimes are met with torturous punishments.

Powers and Associations

Light is Anthemir's primary associated with the daytime and it is at noon, especially during the summer months, her prayers are most sonorous and effective. She herself emanates a light though only under sunlight. Outside of sunlight, she is near invisible. White is her color and thus many white things are associated with her: hulled rice, smooth, white stones, and white flowers, especially of the magnolia. Though the association with magnolias came about when [??].
