Issue #1 of the "From the Archives" data packets available to members of the Society of International Culture and History.

We bow down before your cross. Author P. Goncharov

One of the hymns sung by the Hermetic Order of Saint Seraphim of Sarov, a russian orthodox monastic order that ran the last habitat that many colonists used before leaving the Sol system. A recording by the monks was available on request and became a feature of the Desereti, Ulvastean, and Albionese cultural archives. Included was a VR recording, but enthusiasts claim that much of the experience is missing outside of zero-g.

When the Wind Talks. Malte Marten

Many colonies took with them a variety of musical instruments, hoping to start their own unique musical traditions. Handpans, first invented in Germany, were a popular choice and remain in use in Sperare and Bhramaputra. Handpans on Frisia are used only by the shamans during religious ceremonies.

Good King Wenceslas from Piae Cantiones

An ancient Christmas hymn on old Earth, Good King Wenceslas is very popular on Albion and Deseret. It is connected to Deseret's Christmas tradition through their All Terrain Catering Vehicles, and the Zarahemla Municipal Choir performs it every year. While there are many recordings of the song in the cultural archives of different star nations, this version by the Danish National Vocal Ensemble is the inspiration for all Desereti arrangements.
