Society of International Culture and History
The Society of International Culture and History (SICH) is a Deseret based archiving project dedicated to preserving historical and cultural records or practices that settlers brought with them to their new homes. While Deseret maintained their own cultural archives through the Library of the Republic, upon learning of the destruction of Earth in the aftermath of the Yellowstone megavolcano a coalition of Desreti universities (Zarahemla, Taumata, Rivendell, Ocean Forest) and wealthy philanthropists created the society in order to seek out and preserve any ancient records that other colonies had brought with them. The society would eventually come to include members in most star nations, most notably Eiennohana and Nouveau Dakar.
Excerpts from the Archives
Members of the Society receive a collection of excerpts on a monthly basis, chosen by each system's branch. Samples often included music files, 3D scans of historical artifacts, and copies of literature from ancient authors.
