Keoland Empire

With commerce in one hand and the navy in another, Keoland's future is secure" - King Eusebius II The Keoland Empire, a thalassocratic nation 1600 miles to the West of the Lords Alliance. Having united their island some 220 years ago, the empire of Keoland has managed to grow to be one of the wealthiest in the Forgotten realms, trading primarily with the Lords Alliance thanks to their shared maritime experience. Otherwise hampred by their immense distance from other large landmasses, and their internal conflicts (primarily against pirate gangs), the empire currently wants to expand its reach beyond its homeland and establish a colonial foothold nearer to the Sword Coast. The Lords Alliance own a small peninsula which contains the city of Zenophus on the Island of Keoland. You can think of it like Hong Kong, as the Lords Alliance uses it as a trading port to get goods into and out of the empire.
