High King
High King Magnus IV is the ruler of the Kingdom of Kjarra. He, like his kingdom, is dying but not yet dead. In youth, he was a great warrior and was renowned for his bravery and heroism. He led his armies personally in wars against the invading elves. Despite his youthful reputation, in his old age, he is a very careful man, some consider it weakness and political impotence. He rarely makes public appearances, relegating affairs to his vassals. As he has yet to declare any heir and has no living sons, the Northmen of the kingdom and their neighbors look on as civil war looms.
