An Interesting Discovery

Written in one of Emperor Cyrdin's many journals.

During this most recent of my rare visits to the other planes, I happened upon something interesting. In a market in a city in Abaddon, I met a hag who called herself Harihdma. She seemed to be expecting me, though for a hag, such a thing is unsurprising. She was not any variety of hag I recognized; I believe some research into the topic is warranted. She offered me a text: a copy of an original that was penned by the gods before even the creation of mortals, and kept a closely guarded secret.

I was skeptical, of course, but the price she asked was quite low, as far as extraplanar dealings go, so I took the chance. The text is supposedly a record from that early time, detailing some of the gods' first creations: beings of incredible power called titans. They possessed abilities that rivaled those of the gods themselves. Some can manipulate divine connections, others bind the laws of reality themselves, and the greatest of them hold effortless control over the structure of the cosmos. They are the greatest weapons ever created.

I am now more than a thousand years old, and yet my empire has yet to control even one entire continent. Titans, though, could bring the entire world within my grasp in a matter of years. I have replicated the creations of the gods before when I created the androids—I may even surpass them if my plans for an ultimate, god-slaying android are successful—what should stop me from doing so again? Such behemoths would be expensive and time consuming to create, but with their power I should only need, at a conservative guess, twelve.

Before starting such a project, I will need space for a much larger laboratory. It must be hidden, as well, so it must be underground. I may be able to expand the complex underneath Salernum, but...

I must think on this further.
