After the successful Belsumese take-over of the Western Isles, they became drained of resources. At the same time, the Ethelan high command were in dire need of troops and supplies for a rejuvenated effort against the Utamaii Uprisings in Utamad'Zum on the Kakon mainland. Emissaries from both parties were sent to the Ethelan city of Lafigver in Ilemseach and an armistice was signed, bringing an uneasy peace to Maletsok.
