Elumen of the Distant Wood

Reminiscent of the Fey from the Deep Wood of Maelhuat in their chaotic energy, Elumen of the Distant Wood is in fact a god of the Lawful Kolaluthenut. They are the God of Nature, having created the flora and fauna in Maletsok. For this reason she is also called the Worldmaker, and is sometimes believed to be the Sovereign of the Gods, especially by her cult (see Woldkeeprs in Luthaenoism).

Although it is said their spirit roams wherever leaves grow and paws tread, they nevertheless call the Enjoturoinseach Wood their home. They are depicted as a beautiful spirit, with narrow piercing eyes and a thin grin beneath wild red hair and sharp ears. Indeed, their depiction is reminiscent of many of the Empire's wood-elves.

Role in the Sacred History of Maletsok

Elumen was instrumental in the formation of the world, according to Maletsokish lore. They were the first God to decide to create. It was Elumen who reached deep into the ocean and pulled up stone and silt to build their Island. It was Elumen who then formed life in their hands and placed it upon the Island, making all of the plants and animals of the world. When the Folk took to war, it was Elumen who was the first to decry and denounce Kirien, and the last to agree to destroy the Island they loved so much.

Cult - Worldkeepers

Also called the Rangers of Elumen or, impolitely, the Grass Rats, Worldkeepers are a cult of naturalists and conservationists. They champion Elumen Worldmaker as their God, believing her to be the greatest and first deity, and sovereign of the Kolaluth. A deep and steadfast love for plants and animals and the ecosystem as a whole is foundational to their way of life. As such, many Worldkeepers live as hermits in the wilderness, surrounded by the creation of their God. Few will make regular journeys to civilization, and far fewer will live in society.

Worldkeepers play an active role in Maletsok as protectors of the natural world, and will go to great lengths to preserve any and all lands untouched by civilization. They tend to harbour resentment for the other deities of the Kolaluth, as well as other humanoids for their roles in destroying what they perceived to be a perfect world in divine harmony: the world before sentience, corruption, hate, and destruction. Therefore, they fight to defend the lands still harkening to that simpler time.
