Almeiras

Almeiras is the capital city of the Pelozerian Halflings of The Condados in the Maletsok Territory. Once a beautiful and peaceful city, today it is a loud, crass, rambunctious place full of casinos, concert halls, and all sorts of unsavoury forms of entertainment. It is best to steer clear of this place if you wish to keep your morality and money.

History

The city was founded shortly after the eruption of Mount Darbreduun. In the terrible aftermath, some Halfling refugees found an almond grove on a hill miraculously untouched by the burning molten rock below. After the land had hardened and cooled, these refugees turned outward and made their refuge into a centre for healing and rest for others who had been affected. Six families led the move to make the refuge: the Avilas, the Du Fontes, the Silveiras, the Martins, the Amarals, and the Regos. After a time, their refuge grew as more people settled under the almond grove, whether to find safety or work.
