Aefan

Aefan, also called The Great Dark, is one of two all-powerful deities of Aethanism, and the negative force behind the Great Duality (see the Polasenok). His power and authority is only matched by his rival and opposite Aethan the Alworthy, with whom he fights an eternal war for dominion of the whole Polasenok.

Much like his counterpart Aethan, Aefan is usually depicted as one of the Solwoln from The Dying Birth mythos. However, unlike Aethan who has consistant personifications beyond the Great Dragon such as shining armour and fine linens of blue and white, Aefan can be and has been depicted in all manner of ways. Oftentimes, imagery of predators is used, such as serpants, large felines, and predatory birds, however the arrangement of such varies greatly. He has even been shown as identical to Aethan, symbolizing the difficulty many can have in discerning right from wrong. Nevertheless, like his coutnerpart, Aefan is still best understood conceptually, being a Supreme Deity.
