Impending overpopulation estimates in the Alalus System during the early 200s had the Core Senate seeking to expand the presence of humanity in the Orionis Cluster. Reaching out to corporations, they worked with Hatch Aviation - who headed the migration to the Leporis System - and Jetechnologies over the first seven years of the new century to organize the terraforming equipment for travel to the next nearby system. After a two-year journey, two starships (Blade of Occam and Star of Saura) arrived in the Ortasto System and established the first settlement on the only inhabitable planet, Bajy Ridy.
