Magic War
In -257, the Council of MagicCouncil of MagicCouncil of Magic banished Skamos from Naveen for illegal use of Necromancy. Skamos was very popular among students. In Dorgon, at the Dorong's School of Evocation, apprentices decided to revolt against the Council of Magic, by first attacking the teachers and students who voted for Skamos' banishment.
Somehow, the group of students successfully took control of the School. At that time, many magic users started joining the group, who started calling themselves the Skamos' brothers.
The Skamos' brothers thus started to attack different buildings and organizations funded by the Council. The Council tried getting help from the monks of the Graystones Islands, but none came. The Council successfully held the rebels for a while, as they were powerful, but a lot of members of the Low Council rebelled against their own.
In -250, only one stronghold of the Council remained : the Fanya Castle, a flying castle, at the time located above Xega. The caslte was constantly protected by magical barriers that had never been broken.
In -249, a warlock by the name of Amnon, aka The Renegade, member of the High Counsil, betrayed the Council, and broke the barrier. The Skamos' brothers took the castle, making it fall on Xega,destroying the city, and the castle, resulting in the Battle of Xega, thus dissolving the Council of Magic.
After the end of the war, magic started being used freely, for good and bad.
