Orders of Robes

The remaining wizards now act as the authority on four of the five islands of Natura Nihil, the fifth being commanded under the three Knightly Orders in a martial law. These wizards act as the heads of both the wizardly orders and the heads of their respective islands. Their responsibility to is to keep the floating islands and order and their highest concern is keeping the islands above the rotted earth.

Five Robes, one Torn

The Orders of Robes were formed just before the Ascension. As the rot of the earth began to close in on the last settlements left, wizards were looked to as the authority both magically and intellectually. The five wizards gathered together for the first time to devise a plan to save those who remained in their province. Thus, they finally decided to depend on the Dunamancy wizard and her followers to raise the islands high into the heavens, detatching from the dying earth itself. The rest of the wizards banded the people in the area together best they could to save as many lives as they could before the Ascension. From this point on, the wizards have been the leaders of those who ascended and formed their Orders of Robes of those who flocked to learn wizardry from them.
