Ra'rena

Domains

Ra'rena is the Goddess of Nature and Death. She symbolizes the duality of mortality, life and then death which gives way for other life. She is often depicted sitting on a thrown of flowers wearing a dragon skull mask. There is a cathedral dedicated to her, which is in Dawnrest. It is run by her devoted, mute followers called the Silence. A sub-sect of the Silence runs an apothecary shop called The Bitter Vial.

Nature

Being the Goddess of Nature, Ra'rena is considered the goddess responsible for the life that nature has, and the delicate ecosystem that's in place.

Death

As the Goddess of Death, Ra'rena is responsible for leading the dead to the afterlife. Having a ferry crystal is one way to ensure you find your way across the afterlife into a new life.

Various Rituals and Festivals

Rituals and Offerings

There are many rituals that can be tied to Ra'rena such as the Gifting, gifting seeds in general, and funeral Rites.
The Gifting
The gifting ritual is one that happens after babies are born. Family and friends gift the newborn baby seeds to add to their seed container, which is carried with them throughout life and planted when they die. The type of seed varies with family to family, and the seed mix is usually unique to the person as they collect seeds throughout their life for various achievements.
Gifting Seeds
Gifting seeds is usually done first in the Gifting Ritual, then at various other points in life. The members of this faith obtain seeds for performing various tasks. Many of these tasks include a valuable skill learned, a decade of their life passes, marriage, battles won, and family passing.
Funeral Rites
Many travel to the large cathedral-like greenhouse that resides in Dawnrest. They obtain ferry crystals for the use of funeral rites. The ferry crystals are usually a replacement for the seed containers and they are either buried with the body or with the body when the body is burned.
