The blue dream? Men like me recognise it as the greatest thing to come out of Thornden, The Harbingers and the chained Gods included.

• A Mirrored representative comments on the recent influx of Cobalt in Peridot and Nomtai.

Cobalt was a drug synthesised in Thornden when it still resided inside it's chained mist. 
However, when the mists receded, darker and more criminally minded groups saw the trade of Cobalt as an intensely wealthy venture and so the drug became widespread with specifically The Mirrored, The Trinity and smaller syndicates profiting from the trade of it. 
Cobalt is a refined, blue crystal that is easily mistaken for sapphire from a visual perspective but is easily crushed and broken into a fine powder. The powder can then be whisked into a drink, smoked or snorted and offers the following effects:

• Spellcasters who take Cobalt will be suffused with strange arcane energy and are required to make a check using their spellcasting modifier with a DC equal to their level every time they wish to cast a spell. 
• If an elemental spell is cast then the element is randomly determined by the DM. 
• Users of Cobalt have advantage on Perception checks as the world becomes hyper focused to them. 

Cobalt is addictive and can lead to withdrawal.
