Campaign Summary - SC1

The 1st Sokol Crusade campaign is a short 5th edition campaign designed to explore the 1st Sokol Crusade and expand on the characters and locations in that area.
In the campaign, I set up seven pre-made level 6 characters and said that I would be running a Tragic Horror undead themed campaign. I already knew the end of the campaign, and the players and I would work together to tell an interesting story about how it happened, and do some helpful world building.
The characters were:
King Tarik Ghislane (Played by Jimmy) - The young king of Sokol, newly crowned less than a year prior as he was the only remaining noble of Sokol. Formerly 4th in line to take the crown, he had a reputation as a kind, but generally careless royal who was more interested in tournaments and adventure than learning politics.
Kaj Sunita (Played by Carl) - A scheming Sokolan human draconic sorcerer, Kaj Sunita is planning for his future. And that future includes living an a nice villa provided by the King for his great and impressive services during this expedition.
Phoebe Magdi - A cautious Sokolan hunter and expert on undead.
Shex - An orcish zealot who is a fanatic about fighting evil.
Kozud Hasgroren - A proud dwarven soldier acting as a bannerman for the Strossenberg military.
Additionally, named NPCs and factions included:
High Mage Esteri - Aging mage and former teacher at an arcane university, interested in discovering why the country was destroyed.
Commander Gitmun Jademaker - Dwarven commander in charge of the expedition, both a socialite and military man there to schmooze with the new king.
Wicked Hammers - A renowned dwarven military company and honor guard.
