Ashen Plains
Description
The Ashen Plains lie to the north-west of the Ahsh Woods. They are very aptly named since a thick layer of Ash covers everything in this area. The reasons for this are unclear but some travellers tell stories of a bright light stalking the plains at night, spewing out ash as it walks.
Geography
The plains are a very hilly area, they form the foothills of the Broken Peaks. A wide river once cut through the plains but the ash is now clogging it, leaving it dry and barren.
Fauna & Flora
Almost nothing grows here except sturdy weeds. It is almost reminiscent of an ash desert.
Although no normals animals live here, memphits, especially of the steam and fire kind, are surprisingly common here.
Some travelers also report sightings of small steam and fire-elementals roaming the plains.
