A miasma hangs over the City of Thebes. At the advice of the Pythia, a cold case of regicide is reopened, leading to the discovery that the prior king, Laius, was murdered by the current king, Oidpous. Who was also discovered to have been his son. And who had inadvertently married his own mother, and fathered four children by her. The Queen, Jokasta, takes her own life, and Oidipous blinds himself and goes off into exile.
