Old Wall Building / Landmark in Mythopoeia | World Anvil

Old Wall

Built by Kadmos around the city of Kadmeia as it existed in his time, enclosing the Citadel of Kalydnus and Acropolis with springs that feed into the Dirke and Ismenius Rivers.   Like the more famous New Wall, the Old Wall also has seven gates.

The Labyrinth Gate

The wall encloses a labyrinth that predates Kadmos, being left over from the ruins of a previous city.

The Founder's Gate

Named for Kadmos.
