Artemis

Grc: Αρτεμις (Artemis), Lat: Diana, En: Artemis

Also known as Phoibe (Phoebe)
I sing of Artemis, the strong-voiced and much-revered maiden, dear-shooting delighter of golden-shafted arrows, twin sister to Apollon of the golden sword. Over the shadowy hills and windy peaks she draws her golden bow, rejoicing in the chase, and sends out grievous shafts. The tops of the high mountains tremble and the tangled wood echoes awesomely with the outcry of beasts, but the daimon turns her bold heart and destroys the wild prey. And when she has cheered her heart, the huntress slackens her supple bow and goes to the great house of her dear brother, Phoibos Apollon, in the rich land of Delphoi, there to order the lovely dance of the Mousai (Muses) and Charites (Graces).
