Amphitrite

Queen of the Sea, wife of Poseidon, daughter of Nereus and Doris. She was a reluctant bride who hid in the depths of the ocean from her arranged groom until convinced by a dolphin to marry Poseidon. Her son with Poseidon is the fishtailed Triton, who serves as messenger for the sea pantheon.
