Alternative Name: The Year of Christmas   Type: Christmas Yearly Calendar   Location: A King Among Kings Valley   Related Historical Figures: Gertrude and Nicholas Claus (Former), Angela and Baxter Belief (Current), All Rulers of AEP (Helpers)   Related Families: Christmas Beings Family and then Family of Ancient Magic (After Baxter and Angela are crowned)
The Annual Preparation of Santa’s Launch on Christmas Eve is the annual calendar for Operation: Merry Christmas (also could be OPERATION: MERRY CHRISTMAS). The year is what Santa and his elves go by. The year is painstakingly planned out so all is done by Christmas Eve. It also goes by The Year of Christmas due to this.   This calendar started in Nicholas’s fifth year what has become the standard form used by Santa and the elves to ensure everything is done on time. It has changed since its’ inception.

Seasons of Christmas Yearly Calendar

Before we talk about the calendar, there are periods of it you might want to get acquainted with.   The first period is often referred to as the slow season. Beginning in January and going to June, it is the time of year when the village is not busy and activity is barely going on.   The elves are also in school at the Institute for Merriness Studies or on vacation. Santa likes them cross-training in the off season.   And it stays like this until August.   However, there is also a holiday in the summer. It is the Christmas Season Midway Point beginning with Leon Day (the halfway mark to Christmas). These few days honor the work of the elves, reindeer, Yetis, and the polar bears. They are also days used as non-working days.   The Busy Season is soon seen as things rapidly change. Thus, all departments are at full power. Then all soon enter the final stage of counting down the time until Santa takes off.

Year of Christmas Calendar – First Execution

The calendar begins in January of the new year. It is at this time the Great Christmas Parliament talks about the last year and then start with the new year business. January also begins the least busy part of the year.   This time of year, all elves are in school or on vacation. The only departments working are the Reindeer and Sleigh Operations, Toy Department, and the Records and Letters Department.   The toys coming out are always the first ones to get produced every year as these are your classics and time-honored favorites.   The Clauses go on vacation usually from February to April/May.   It is June when the Summer Solstice comes. It is now that they celebrate Leon Day (the halfway mark to Christmas). And these next few days are called celebratory days to honor this the Christmas Season Midway Point (a North Pole City traditional holiday).   This is the day that kicks off the North Pole Christmas Season as the elves will have to ramp up the whole operation soon. Thus, Nicholas normally gives the “All-Clear to Proceed Chaotically” signal.   Summer goes by.   From August to October, things are more urgent.   In November, the whole village starts the final preparatory stage for Operation: Merry Christmas. It is the final stage of counting down the time until Santa takes off.   By December, everything is ready and the sack is filled. It is closer to Christmas Eve when it is in the sleigh.   The first thing in December is The Winter Solstice Ceremony. A week after is Christmas Eve. Nicholas isn’t seen as much this day. He rests before they go to church. The Christmas Eve Service lasts an hour then all go to the Christmas Eve Launch Center.   Usually, Nicholas and Gertrude go with The Original Nine and teleport into the launch center, The other Rulers follow. The sleigh is waiting with elves also there making sure Santa is jolly and ready. Once it is time, both Clauses go out onto the balcony. Nicholas speaks.   They return to hear the North Pole Bells ring all over the Manufacturing District. Gertrude kisses Nicholas. He gets into the sleigh. After hearing the final update, all stand back while he takes off!   He returns many hours later, fatigued and worn out. The entire village celebrates and eventually Nicholas and Gertrude join in. A dinner is usually held when Nicholas is done resting.

AFTER MAGIC RETURNS NOTE

It is only when AEP returns to its’ full strength that things change. Both Hearts are known and visible at this point.   Nicholas, on advice from Gertrude and Baxter (and the parliament), open up the Toy Workshop Compound in 2025 due to a more widespread interest in making toys. This makes many departments have more buildings.   Elves moved into the homes in the Original Heart of Christmas. It is good as more toys are made and saved for emergency purposes or future Noels.

Year of Christmas – Revised Execution

The calendar begins in January of the new year. Not long after Santa’s Council meets, the slow time has elves in school, on vacation, or filled with the elves working on jewelry and art until they switch to toys. Events within Christmas Yearly Calendar

OPERATION: MERRY CHRISTMAS

Operation: Merry Christmas AKA The Christmas Eve Launch is the delivery phrase of Santa’s Mission. It is held at the end of the calendar. This night is when Santa’s power is the highest. The date of Christmas Eve is the 24th of December. A few days before is The Annual Winter Solstice Ceremony.   Christmas Eve is the day where Santa doesn’t do much before. The first big event is the Christmas Eve Service. It lasts an hour then all go to the Christmas Eve Launch Center for Santa’s Launch.   At the launch center, Nicholas and Gertrude teleport with The Original Nine where they are hitched with the sleigh.   The other Rulers follow. Once it is time, both Clauses go out onto the balcony. Nicholas speaks. Sometimes Gertrude does as well. The bells ring all over the Manufacturing District. Gertrude kisses Nicholas. He gets into the sleigh. After hearing the final update, all stand back while he takes off!   He returns many hours later, fatigued and worn out. The entire village celebrates and eventually Nicholas and Gertrude join in. Dinner is usually held when Nicholas is done resting.

Christmas Season Midway Point

The Christmas Season Midway Point is an annual North Pole Christmas Kingdom holiday. It marks the halfway point to Christmas Eve. Nicholas also includes Winter Solstice as it is also important.   From the Summer Solstice to the twenty-sixth day of June, these few days are filled with glad tidings and great joy.   Leon Day is the actual halfway mark so the elves take 48 hours as a holiday to kick off the North Pole Christmas Season as the elves will have to ramp up the whole operation soon. Thus, a ceremony at the Christmas Central District is put on so Nicholas could give the “All-Clear to Proceed Chaotically” signal honoring the mark and the busy season starting.   The few days after involve honoring the traditions set forth by Nicholas and the elves long ago.
