Witness

A Witness is a chronicler of Astropor's history, and is responsible for providing insight and wisdom born from the generations of the past. While officially their vote has no more weight than any other member of the Constellar, they hold a great deal of influence due their reputation for impartiality. Notably, Witnesses are not bound by the Triskelaw. As such, they are expected to learn and master the arcane arts, and often live to be 5 or 6 centuries old. Their bodies do not vanish upon their deaths, but are instead interred below the Hall of Echoes. A new potential witness is born in Astropor approximately once every 100 years, marked by hexagonal pupils. Only 6 Witnesses serve on the Constellar at any given time, the oldest member retiring when the youngest reaches their 100th birthday.
