It is night, but everything is lit up as if it were day. A chorus of stars and galaxies illuminate the sky along with everything in the surrounding area. The distant sound of a Guardian migrating occasionally breaks the peace of silence - but it provides a heartbeat. The world is living. It's a welcome distraction from the giant hole staring back down at you.

Mysţ̷̲̚ is beautiful, dangerous, magical, and deceiving. Husks of metallic ships are spread across the surface bearing witness to the technological marvels long dead and gone. Within a stone's throw are the wreckages of war with only the memories of those that fought them. Empires - even entire species - have risen and fallen, advanced technologies have been birthed here, gods have lived and died and been killed, all in the span of a few thousand years - and that is only recorded history. Mys̴t has been scarred, broken, and even reborn, all of which can be seen clearly across the planet. The question isn't what happened but rather... why? How did the world end up like this?

Mysteries Abound

Ancient civilizations shaped the Myst of the present. Ruins and technologies of the past can be found everywhere - but the reasons why such advanced empires fell is still unknown. Even further, the world itself is not fully explored. No one knows what lies past the Edge of the World. No one knows what lies at the bottom of Vathos. No one knows what extends past the reaches of Choros. Wherever you look, there is something ready to be uncovered.

Don't Trust Everything

Your first idea of something in this world is probably going to be wrong - at least partially. The understanding of the residents of Myst are limited, meaning that some of their concepts and ideas about the world are incorrect. These writings reflect that. Don't trust everything. Don't trust everyone.

Ends are Only Beginnings

Everything is built on the past and the things of present will inevitably pass away. What is done now will be the starting point for what comes next just as the ancients of the past forged the starting point for the present. People, civilizations, and gods pass away, but all of them leave behind a legacy to be found and either carried or buried by those that come after. It is our turn to determine what to take with us, what to leave behind,... and what to bury.

Some Basics:

Kaiju-like deities known as the Guardians roam the planet.

Magic is limited. The most common source of magic requires the usage of special crystals that grow organically out of the ground.

Ancient super advanced technologies leftover by the Meneki and others can be found dotted everywhere.

No one knows what is on the Southern Hemisphere of the planet.
