Oakensted

Oakensted is the smallest town of Earthein. Having just barely over forty people residing, the individuals who live there grow and maintain produce and livestock as well as work with wood. With the majority of grown food coming from this town, the people of this town take their job seriously giving it their all, to ensure everyone can eat. The ones who work with wood also give it their all since everything from dishes to cups to cutlery to boxes and chests come from them. A few of the people living there raise and train animals like Chamelocats and Finioons, for various reasons such as combat, protection, companionship, and message carrying. They have a small farmer's market they use to sell products to anyone that comes by, but most of the food is transported to the other towns and kingdoms. Since the population is so small, the little town is much like a close-knit family, with everyone knowing everyone - and everyone's business.

Demographics

The two main groups of people living in this town are woodworkers and farmers. The farmers, whether on produce or animal care, are generally regarded with a little more respect since they grow and maintain the food for Myranelynia. The woodworkers gather and make basic items out of wood so they're seen as common folk since they make such common items. There are a few in the farming side that works with raising and training animals for various reasons other than food.

Government

There is one lord that oversees everything in the town, but ultimate authority goes to the Earthein Monarchy.

Defences

There are some Earthein guards there to protect them, but most of the time, the people protect themselves. They train each other on how to do basic defenses in case of any need.

Industry & Trade

Oakenson provides the farming and woodworking aspects needed in the kingdom. They maintain both produce and animals and make things out of wood. they also make the tools out of the metal provided by Copperting, things like shovels, hoes, and pickaxes. With the wood, they make basic plates, bowls and cutlery.

Assets

They have a farmer's market to sell the fresh produce and a stand that opens once a year for the special delicacy of Earthein once the special root vegetable floyote grows. While Copperting is generally visited for specialty dishes and cutlery, there are a few who make intricate dishes out of wood. Boxes and chests are also made and sold here.

Architecture

The buildings are much simpler than most of the buildings in Earthein. they still have the roof with a waterproof coating to filter and collect water, since they need all the drinking water they can get, but the building itself is more open than the other towns and cities. Made of wood, they have openings serving as windows and only a few have actual doors, most have a cloth to serve as the door. Even with the simple design, many of them still have colorful paint on its exterior.

Geography

The small town sits next to the south edge of the Autumn Woods, with the closest distance to the farming area. They're also next to the river to wash clothes and get water for bathing.

Natural Resources

Since they sit next to the Autumn Woods, they use wood from trees no longer bound to a married couple (more info in traditions, soon to be added). They also have extra wood imported since they fear cutting down too many trees will upset the balance of their island. There's one area that is a natural area to grow food and they use it for such that purpose.
