Hills of Solace
This large hilly area may seem quaint now, but history tells of the massive bloodshed they have bore witness to. Long ago, when the Republic of Gwenn was still very young, the Empire of Tor launched a very aggressive invasion of these lands in an attempt to bring the Republic under its control. Luckily for the Republic, this sprawling region of hills made progressing to strategic footholds very difficult and eventually the Empire was repelled with the assistance of allied nations.
