King of Rohan

The title taken by the leader of the EOTHED after they took possession of the Gondorian province of CALENARDHON at the grant of CIRION, Steward of Gondolin in 2509 T.A. when they answered his summons and assisted in the victory at the FIELDS OF CELEBRANT. The first King of Rhoan was @EORL, THE YOUNG, who led his people from Northern VALES OF ANDUIN, into these new lands in the South. His line was on the throne until 2578 T.A. when HELM HAMMERHEAD was killed fighting the EASTERLINGS When he died in 2759 T.A. he was succeeded by his Sister Son FRELAF. Frelaf's heirs still rule from their capital of EDORAS. Today his descendant THEORED rules the Rohirrim.
