Elves

The firstborn of @ILUVATAR. Cursed with immortality as Iluvatar did not understand that it would be a curse. They originally lived in Middle Earth where they were easy prey for @Melkor and his minions. It is believed that from these captured elves he created @ORCS as an evil counter.
@TULKAS "Lord of the Hunt" found some of these timid young creatures one day as he traveled in the fields of Middle Earth. Once they were found the @VALAR had them come and live with them in the @BLESSED LAND, but when their great creation the @SIMARILS were stolen by @MELKOR, they left the blessed lands and went to Middle Earth to retrieve their lost treasure.
They fought with Melkor for most of two ages, and finally only the aid of the Valar brought them victory. Then many of the Elves returned to the Blessed Land. Many though had only known life in Middle Earth. Some had even grown found of Middle Earth and @THE HUMANS. These stayed behind, with the promise they could always come to the Blessed Land.
