Hokan

Hokan Ashir, member of the collective divines of Necromancer the Ideal Masters, is among the most dreaded necromancers of Mundus. Hokan returned from the Soul Cairn, the plane of Oblivion where the Ideal Masters reside, in the second Era to resume his mortal form. Upon his return to the lands of Xu he started building an undead army together with fellow necromancers. To increase his armies capabilities he travelled to the Void where he learned the art of forging the Black Steel creatures known as 'Blades' from Priscilla of Blades. With his increased host he defeated the demon lord Uram, after which he attempted to conquer the entire continent. Although Hokan was defeated, the collective of Xu's mages could not destroy his essence. As such they chose to imprison him in the Crystal Spire, located at Nordmar's coldest region.

The Erabenisum

After Valthor's ascension to godhood, Molag Bal's plane of Coldharbour passed Mundus, increasing the capabilities of necromancers in the process. Hokan utilized this spike of necromantic power to free himself from imprisonment. Hokan would rebuild the Soulforge and begin his conquest on Nordmar with a Blades and undead host. His armies would drive the Nordmarian orcs to drastic measures, causing most of them to flee and unite under the banners of five warlords.   With his vast army now in place, Hokan started to enact his plan: the dawning of a new God War by tearing the Veil. Darius, Sentinel of Lore, Learning of Hokan's goal, a collective of heroes was assembled by Darius of the Arcane Masters and Heroes of Old , among them Marcus Vardenfell, @Simeon Vardenfell, and the Crescent Knights of Meridia. While managing to deal Hokan a heavy blow, it was in the end the Daedric Prince Molag Bal who the Ideal Masters had tricked in their ascension to divinity, who defeated Hokan. Molag Bal took Hokan with him to his realm of Coldharbour, where he now remains an eternal plaything to the god of Domination.   Although defeated, Hokan's goal was not entirely unachieved, as the collective of heroes were unable to halt Hokan's machinery tearing the Veil. In the end the machinery was destroyed with a blast, which is believed to have caused the Dawn of the Fourth Era: 'the Age of Phantasm' or the 'Erabenisum'.
