Half-elves
Half-elves is an ambiguous term, while is easy to consider a child from a pure human and pure elf as a half-elf such children are rare, especially because in places where elves and humans live together there are few individuals with a "pure" ancestry.
Generally, anyone who can't be instantly visually identified as a human or an elf and has parents from those races is considered a half-elf, usually anyone who is between 3/4 and 1/4 of elven descent is considered a half-elf.
Describing half-elven physiology is also similarly difficult, generally, they are stronger and less magically adept than elves but prettier, more elegant, and more magically adept than humans, and their ears are slightly pointy and elongated but not to a full even level.
Half-elves live to be 200 to 600 years old depending on how much elven blood they have.
Half-elves combine what some say are the best qualities of their elf and human parents: human curiosity, inventiveness, and ambition tempered by the refined senses, love of nature, and artistic tastes of the elves. Some half-elves live among humans, set apart by their emotional and physical differences, watching friends and loved ones age while time barely touches them, half-elves in the Empire are legally considered humans but they suffer from many societal prejudices. Others live with the elves, growing restless as they reach adulthood in the timeless elven realms, while their peers continue to live as children, half-elves in the elven kingdoms are typically considered lesser, especially by elven nobility. Many half-elves, unable to fit into either society, choose lives of solitary wandering or join with other misfits and outcasts in the adventuring life.
Most half-elves live in the Kingdom of Ramass on Ishtar, the kingdom is ruled by half-elven nobility and is the only realm on Mundus in which half-elf can hold positions of power.
