Snail Blazing Report

General Summary

It was Iacobus, 26th day of Somierach, The Year 385 of the United Era, The Year of the Ki Rin at approximately 7:30 in the morning. Supplies were gathered and boots strapped as the intrepid adventuring party set off on a long slow journey towards Buckdell Manor. The first days of the journey were mostly uneventful other than the annoying swamp insects. Having Jhon as their guide allowed the Reconcilers to navigate their way to the edge of the Ebon Morass with ease. It is on the morning of the 3 day the 29th day of Someriarch that the first bit of trouble on the road is found. After finding an ancient road through the forest and following it out of the Ebon Morass the group happened upon a cart crushed by a tree, blocking the road. The sight of 3 dead human bodies and the sound of scared crying peaked the curiosity of the entire group. Melatona and Fiona elect to go investigate and Melatona immediately spots an ambush about to happen when he almost falls victim to a pit trap, but not soon enough before the arrows of hidden enemies start finding their marks. A battle that lasted only seconds led to the majority of the avian enemies fleeing into the woods in terror with the sounds of fireballs exploding behind them. The short skirmish leaves many members weak and on edge. They decide to rest close by to short through the strange chests they discover in the cart and to tend to some wounds. During the process many great treasures seemingly marked with Alliance symbols are identified and cataloged for optimized use for the group.

Table talk this session included quite a bit of lore discussion. The reason for Amphelion from a scientific perspective, the names of days and months and their meanings, the number of days in a month and year, questions about the newest regional map that was gifted to the characters, and narrowly escaped being the victim of every card in the Deck of Many Things at once.
