Rhythm Bones
Rhythm bones, often shortened to "bones", are pairs of animal bones carved most commonly into curved, smooth forms. A player holds a set between their fingers such that they flank the middle finger and the convex surfaces face one another, and all sound is generated by the movement of the wrists.
Stenza like bones for the high-pitched click sound they produce, which cuts through the sound produced by drums and is much clearer than the softer rattle of bones on materials such as leather. Bones are used to accent chanting during An'o and are sometimes played on their own simply for the fun of it.
