Riduvil

"Get me some riduvil," he told me. I must admit, in all my studies I have never encountered beast nor bud known as "riduvil," but I decided to humor the poor man. After all, he was clearly suffering from a grievous bout of bonerot from which there would be no easy recovery. I asked him to describe this item to me, and according to him it's a plant of some sort, apparently common all across the north of Morova. He told me that its leaves were shaped exactly like you'd expect leaves to be, it's blooms were the color of the prettiest flowers, and that it grows precisely where you think plants should grow. He then passed out on my floor. I will continue ministrations as long as my supplies allow, though I doubt that I will make any use of this "riduvil"

Basic Information

Anatomy

Riduvil is a wildflower with blue blossoms and light green leaves/stem. It is remarkable for its hardiness, as even the inhospitable lands of places like Stell Islands are graced with its blooms. Riduvil grows in individual stalks, each reaching about four inches high when fully grown, and its flowers are among the first to open after winter ends. It is said that the more vivid the blossom of a riduvil plant, the more potent its healing powers will be.

Biological Traits

The leaves of riduvil plants are chock full of nutrients and beneficial compounds, as these plants' long roots excel at finding and hoarding resources from the soil. This is why riduvil is such a potent medicinal herb, however its healing capabilities actually vary by region due to differing components in the soil. Because of this, few see it as a dependable medicine. There are some healers who have actually determined which kinds of riduvil are best for certain ailments; for example, Stellan riduvil is good for stomachaches and vertigo, whereas Fharyne riduvil staunches pain from wounds. This knowledge has led to the practice of medicinists shipping in soil from distant lands in which they can grow riduvil for any ailment.
