Fharyne

Originally spoken only on the island of Fharyn, this language has expanded in influence along with the Kingdom of Fharyn’s borders. It is not considered a difficult language to pick up, as it greatly influenced both forms of Common Language- so as long as one knows Low Common or High Common, they will be able to recognize much of Fharyne. Indeed, the most widely accepted name of the world “Morova” is originally a Fharyne word meaning “it is known”, and its antonym “Soneva” (“it is hidden”) is often used to refer to the unknown or unexplored parts of the world. It is also well loved by its speakers for its potential to craft new and highly niche words, which has proven to be incredibly useful for inventing new cusses and politically-phrased insults.

Geographical Distribution

Fharyne is spoken within the borders of the Kingdom of Fharyn, where it is taught to the children of all conquered lands in addition to a form of Common. There are plenty of people outside the Kingdom's borders who speak Fharyne, however, as it is largely recognized as one of the most communicable languages in Morova. There is not much room for misunderstanding or double meaning, so it is generally a good language for negotiations or bartering. It is not as widespread as Low Common or High Common, though it is probably one of the most well known non-common languages.
