Steadhold

Steadhold is the capital city of Shieldholme. It is located underground beneath Mount Stead and is home to the King and Queen of Shieldholme.
Steadhold was originally constructed near the beginning of the Shield Wars by the now dead Clan Ironfist.

History

The Shield Wars

Steadhold was constructed during the Shield Wars by the now extinct Clan Ironfist. Steadhold was the base from which the clan expanded its influence in the early decades of fighting. It was under their rule that Steadhold expanded and gained ground against the other clans. Clan Ironfist brought an end to the Shield Wars by uniting the clans under a single dwarven nation in Shieldholme, with Steadhold as its capital.

Post-Collapse

With Clan Ironfist being wiped out during the Collapse, the aftermath left a power vacuum in Shieldholme and Steadhold.
