The Laws of Morgrave
The planet is smaller, which makes polar regions and tropical regions closer together than on Earth. However, gravity, length of day, temperature, etc. are all equal to Earth. Divine magic is old, respected, and generally understood as far as "it comes from the gods." Arcane magic has just been discovered by Hymbra and is not well known or understood; it often provokes fear and mistrust in other nations because its discovery/research is often seen as a reason the gods turned on Hymbra.

Once, it was a molten mass of star dust, then it cooled.
Principal Geography & Features
The campaign takes place on Morgrave, the only known continent on the planet Morgrave - in truth the residents do not distinguish the continent from the planet, because it's all they know. For a small continent, Morgrave is relatively diverse. It has northern tundras, evergreen forests, expansive grasslands, hilly deciduous forests, dense tropical jungles, and a barren desert/steppe. Winds comes in mostly from the west. A gargantuan mountain range cuts the continent almost completely in half from north to south, creating the rain shadow that created the desert.
The seas in Morgrave are extremely dangerous. Very few people dare to even fish in sailboats for fear of sea monsters. The only place where it's relatively safe to sail is in the cauldron, a warm and shallow sea with many islands. As technology has advanced, faster and stronger ships have made short trips profitable, and some island colonies have been established even outside the cauldron.
Due to the danger of the seas, the entire rest of the world of Morgrave is a mystery.
Initial Active Setting
Prologue is a city, Stage 1 is a large island, Stage 2 and onwards is the entire continent of Morgrave.
