Personal History
In a time long ago a steel dragon wyrmling was hatched called Magstryxildas to the Ancient Dragons of Olmerrec. He spent his young years as a captive of one of the Archmages of the Illium Magocracy. He was smart for a young dragon and learned the mind and spells of the arrogant wizard. After 20 years in captivity he managed to ensorcel the mind of the Archmage and bade him to remove his shackles and set him loose.
He vowed revenge upon the greedy hearts of men and started plotting their demise. Creating a lair in the mountains he grew fast and fat from the animals of the sea and the forests. Over 200 years he worked tirelessly to build his body and mind, learning arcane spells from going into the cities of the humans. Eventually he realised he could influence these creatures with his superior mind and charms. Moving amongst them he gathered support and found ways to elevate his station.
He took the name Maximillian Acutum in part from a wizard he slayed in the forest. Shapechanging into his form and replacing him in the government of the Magocracy as a City Magistrate of Aeternum.
After a long time he managed to get recognized for his magical prowess and respected for his grand speeches. Befriending a mage by the name of Alexandr and both of them were researching ways to banish the gods from the world. However, over time they became estranged having different opinions on whether to block or banish the gods. He became a popular politician and the leader of the Godbreakers faction in the Illium Assembly.
Both Alexandr and Maximillian ascended to Archmage at the same time during the same ceremony. This was the beginning of the great rivalry between the Skeptics and the God Breakers.
They both worked on the project of creating the Great Engine and the cutting the Threads of Fates. Secretly the ancient dragon worked on ascending to Godhood and becoming the great Wyrm God of the world to punish the lesser creatures for killing its kind.
