Alexandr the Red

An Archmage of the ancient Magocracy of Illium. He was the Archmage of Fire and the youngest ever to join the Council of Archmagi. Sitting on the Throne of Fire during the meetings and representing the elements of the elemental plane of fire.
Part of the Skeptics, he opposed the overthrow of the Gods, arguing for keeping the status quo in fear of breaking of the world. Quickly turning into the leader of the movement and opposed to his childhood friend Maximillian the Blue, Archmage of Water.
Alexandr was born into a noble family and began studying magic at a young age. A prodigy, he rose quickly through the ranks at the Academy, earning his Mage degree at the age of thirteen. He further developed his magical talents, becoming an Archmage at the young age of twenty and taking the Red seat on the Council of Archmagi.
He joined the Sceptics faction and became a vocal advocate of the movement. They believe that removing the Primal forces from the control of the Gods will lead to disaster and give too much power to the Archmages. He soon became the leader of the faction, representing them on the Council of Archmagi and advocating restraint.
He opposed the conception and use of the Great Engine, fearing unforeseen consequences and a power grab by Maximilian. He eventually agreed to it, but only on the condition that compromises were made and that power was shared with the people.
