Cult of Morr

Cult of Morr

“Death is not the end. It is the threshold.”

The Cult of Morr is the solemn and secretive religious order devoted to Morr, the God of Death, Dreams, and the Afterlife. Revered as both guide and gatekeeper, Morr watches over the souls of the departed, ensuring their safe passage into the next world—and protecting the living from those who would disrupt this sacred transition.

Within the ruins of Mordheim, the Cult’s presence is both feared and respected. Clad in black robes and wielding ritual daggers or heavy scythes—symbols of the Reaper—these priests of Morr are not warriors by nature, but they are no strangers to danger. Though they do not seek battle, they are staunch enemies of necromancers, vampires, and all forms of undeath, whom they view as blasphemers of the highest order.

Operating out of forlorn chapels, crypts, and overgrown cemeteries, the Cult of Morr functions as a neutral faction in Mordheim. They offer rites for the dead, oppose the spread of the undead, and occasionally intervene in mortal affairs when sacred burial grounds are disturbed or when powerful souls are at risk of corruption. Warbands who cross them may find their dreams plagued and their dead unburied.
