Emeria

Emeria is the northern corner of the continent Tandris. Emeria consists of all the area near the Hedon Peaks, including, Kabira, Benaalia, Icatia, The Blood Range, The Burning Lands, and The Glass Desert just below the mountain range. A little over 300 years ago, a powerful warrior king , Hamwell, uncovered four powerful artifacts from the time of Morad's creation during the Era of War. The sword, staff, shield, and bow of Morad were all under Hamwell's control. Individually, any one of these artifacts would make their wielder the most powerful being in The Primelands, together, Hamwell was unstoppable. The previous 3 millennia had been ones of constant warfare and bloodshed making true civilization almost impossible. Hamwell traveled the continents looking for followers and more items to use towards his goal of uniting the races of Morad finally. During his exploration, he met with leaders of the now hundreds of races all across Morad and asked for aide. Only a few were willing to help Hamwell with his grand quest and those races were rewarded handsomely in the years to come. Over their travels, Hamwell and his Almat Knights gathered powerful weapons and changed the world. The Dwarf Donwald Hornrock was given the longsword Elbrus; the Master Blade. Kinshasa, the glaive given to Isatrix the Halflings, said to be able to perfectly block any incoming attack. Malmir the Tiefling had aquired the falchion Tenza during his own time as an adventurer and was able to change the weapon into anything across the elemental spectrum at a word. The greateaxe Kraitkin, wielded by the Goliath Ferdice, could easily slice any foe in two. The twin daggers Zulfiqar made it almost impossible to even see their Gnomish wielder, Yossa. The Eladrin Paerth was able to channel the power of the stars through her rapier Astralaria. Finally, Sharur, a massive greatsword swung by the large Dragonborn Yan'Tek, was whispered to hold the souls of those slain by it. Together they were able to hold back the interplanar conflict that engulfed the Primelands after the Living Gate fell.   Eventually the Era of Chaos came to an end and the Era of Civilization began, loosely dated to start Year 8716, with Good King Hamwell at the helm. During this time of prosperity, Good King Hamwell elevated the races of those that worked with him to accomplish his goal. The Almat Knights and his Elven wife Iodelia found themselves as planar ambassadors for their races across Morad and worked to bring themselves and their own kind into power. The Good King, his family, and his Almat knights lead by Good King Hamwell's son Sylan finally settled in Emeria and did what they had done in countless other regions, liberated it from evil. Emeria however, was under the control of the Archdemon Kurokanax. Kurokanax had spent the last millennium amassing an army from the heart of Drekwal and when Good King Hamwell showed himself to be the first real threat he had faced, he got involved personally. Kurokanax and an army of demons covered the skies above Castle Hamwell and rained hell from above. After days of slaughter on both sides, it was clear to Good Queen Iodelia that they were losing. Using the combined power of the four Moradic, the seven blades of the Almat Knights, and her own powerful magic, they were able to banish Kurokanax to a prison in the center of the first ring of Karlak. Feeling the energy from the powerful Grand Ritual, Kurokanax, sacrificing his entire demonic army, cast a powerful incantation of his own sending Castle Hamwell and all its inhabitants into Karlak with him. Aida, the Good King's daughter, scattered all eleven powerful weapons to the corners of the planes, preventing Kurokanax from getting his claws on them. During the couple hundred years since Good King Hamwell's dissapearance, the "monsterous" races that were trampled upon by the Almat knights have started to reclaim lands all across Morad that were originally theirs.
