Gloni

Gloni

Gloni is a Dvergar whose expertise in death flows not from the blade, but from the subtle kiss of poison, a master of venoms and toxins whose knowledge is as deep as the darkest caverns beneath Svartálfheim. As second to Dökkálfar, Queen Aibell’s formidable Shadowblade, Gloni serves not with steel, but with silence and patience, her weapons undetectable until it is far too late. Her mastery of poisons is legendary among the court, and her concoctions can bring about death so gentle that the victim never realizes their life is fading— or unleash agony that lingers for days before merciful oblivion claims them.   Gloni’s appearance mirrors her ruthlessness and precision. Her brown skin, polished like dark iron, bears the faint sheen of oils and alchemical residues that cling to her even after her work is done. Her head is completely shaved, and without the distraction of hair, her sharp, angular features are laid bare— a visage of control and cold calculation, where every glance, every movement is measured and intentional. Her eyes, a shade of smoky amber, gleam with the analytical focus of one who sees life and death as mere ingredients to be blended and refined.   Gloni’s attire reflects her pragmatic nature, favoring simple, fitted garments in shades of slate gray and deep onyx, tailored to allow for ease of movement and concealment. Her leather gloves, always pristine despite the toxins they have touched, are imbued with wards that protect her from her own deadly creations. Hidden within the folds of her garments are small vials of concentrated venom, tiny blades laced with paralytic toxins, and powders that dissolve into the air, ready to incapacitate or kill at her command.   As Dökkálfar’s second, Gloni is more than an assassin— she is an architect of death whose work is done long before her victim takes their final breath. Her loyalty to Dökkálfar is absolute, and her efficiency ensures that no threat to Queen Aibell lingers longer than necessary. Whether it is eliminating a rival with a carefully timed dose or subtly weakening a potential adversary over weeks, Gloni’s hand is always unseen, her work seamless and undetectable. Even the courtiers who pride themselves on their cunning tread carefully around Gloni, for they know that her poisons leave no room for error— and no second chances.
