She is captivated by the dazzling elegance of the other Fey who frequent the court—each glimpse of otherworldly grace or flirtatious smile stirring a yearning she struggles to suppress. Her fascination with the enchanting and often dangerous denizens of the Fey courts is a distraction she knows she must quash, lest it interfere with her sworn path. Still, her resolve is tested time and again as the festival unfolds, her eyes lingering too long on beguiling strangers whose laughter echoes like siren songs in her ears. Though she scolds herself for her wandering heart, Anwyn cannot help but wonder if the path of the Swan May demands her to forsake all desire—or if there is room for both duty and the stirrings of her soul.
