Ruith Nornan
Ruith Nornan is a young human woman living in The Halberd. She works as a blacksmith, a trade she learned from her late father, who passed away on the journey to the mining boomtown. Physically, she is at a height of around 5'4", medium-toned, and well-built.
Ruith's upbringing from a very disciplined and poor family makes her a very matter-of-fact person, having a crass and unfiltered demeanor, and being easily irritable to those who look down on her. She runs her smithy, the Tempered Edge, with an iron fist, often micro-managing and excessively overseeing the work done (much to the chagrin of her few employees). Despite her nature, Ruith's skills as a blacksmith are not without significant merit, as her hardworking nature lends to a competitive service of forging and repairing the Mythrite miners' tools. This combination of sharp tongue and quality craftsmanship has earned her the name of "Iron Viper" among the townsfolk. The only thing that keeps her from being the best smithy in Mythrite is her bias toward her dwarven customers, and against human ones - a facet she has no qualms about admitting. This bias can range from affecting the quality of work of the commission, as well as its payment. While Ruith has no problem admitting this, the reason for it has never been definite, though, rumors say she sees dwarves as ones who are better at taking care of their tools, making them more deserving of better maintenance for it. However, others believe it's due to her father's death, and the circumstances revolving the treatment of him from human companions and dwarven companions, with the latter being the ones who helped and provided Ruith help and assistance for her new life in Mythrite.
