Clanire Ropeiros
Originally from Baldur’s Gate, Clanire was one of many forgotten children with no knowledge of her parents. She lived for seven years on the street before being found and taken in by an orphanage. She was different from the other orphans, as she was the only elf, and made few friends or worthwhile connections. From this young age she was often bullied by the other children because of her androgynous looks and innate desire to conform to laws and tattle on others.
Never adopted, Clanire is an extremely young elven woman, who spent a year or two in mercenary work before hearing about the bustling boomtown of Mythrite. At the age of nineteen and with no worthwhile connections holding her in Baldur’s Gate she left towards Mythrite in a small caravan of a dozen.
Arriving in the midst of a lawless place Clanire had the desire to join the Town Guard, before realizing they lacked central authority. Distraught at the lawlessness of the town, Clanire found one of the only jobs in which she could control some part of the lawlessness of the boomtown - becoming a Caravan Guard. Clanire has gathered a group of caravan guards, work partners, that she lives with who share a similar mindset as her. Some Miners have been known to “dispose” of weak links in their groups to earn more money, even going so far as to steal from others. Clanire almost always refuses to take contracts for miners who are known to do this. She rides the line of poverty because of this, but her decisions are slowly adding a sense of law to the otherwise lawless town of Mythrite.
Clanire is close to two other people - a male dwarf named Borgden Honorblade, a caravan guard, and a female human Zoey Flintspirit, an aspiring merchant who just happens to be a caravan guard. Both of these people are like Clanire in their desire to deny lawless groups of miners, but they differ in a few ways. Borgden is clearly the most severe and quiet of the group, often making more enemies with a single glowering glance than the other two with their words combined. Zoey is a ray of sunshine compared to the other two - bubbly and optimistic… and always willing to trust that people have a sense of morality in them.
As a young elf, Clanire still looks quite inexperienced and naive. Appearing to be a wood elf, her skin tone is dark copper and she has black hair that goes to her shoulders. This hair is often chopped short by a dagger whenever it gets long enough to annoy her. She is androgynous, although being misgendered does not upset her. Members of all races and genders have attempted to get on her sweet side, often to no success.
