Alya Tenyo
Alya Tenyo has been known by many names throughout her life. "Peanut", when her simple peasant parents were in a good mood. "Hellion", when they caught her taking apart the newest clock, toy, or other interesting object she could get her hands on. "Witch" and "Demon", by her home village of Berdusk when an unfortunate failed experiment of hers burned down the stables. "Madwoman", by most of her patrons upon seeing her outlandish blueprints and hearing her exorbitant prices.
Despite this, Alya refused to lose hope. She knew that one day she would invent something huge, something that would change the world. Then everyone would see her true genius. So what if some of her experiments caught fire or exploded? That's no reason for a town to banish her! And certainly not a reason for every town she's ever tried to set up shop in to chase her out like a goblin infestation.
This time, though, this time will be different. Her newest invention just needs a little more stability, and then it will be perfect. Alya's sights are now set on the town of Mithrite, and its uncovered deposits of the famous wonder metal "mythril". Once she completes her machine, the "steam engine", she knows that all of her dreams will be realized.
