The Flood of Kalich Ilmer
Lord Lyr was getting on Lady Merthicz’ nerves as he was continuously plotting to kill the ivierae trying to immigrate. His second attempt was the creation of Olespi Muttri, a floating island meant to be used as a battle ship of sorts. Upon discovering this, Merthicz lashed out by disappearing Lyr, evolving the Lynç elves into high and wood elves, and as a final “fuck you” of sorts, she flooded a large concentration of monasteries in West Jyalb, killing thousands.
Most of the monasteries belonged to Lyr, but a good number of them also belonged to Lord Fyayn. Because he wasn’t directly involved in this crime against the ivierae, she merely punished him by drowning the cultists who helped with the plan to harm the ivierae.
No one, not even children were spared from the hauntingly destructive flood. All that remains of the flood is some pieces of ruins from the sturdier buildings.
Because of this flooding, current residents view it with great honour, as if defying Merthicz by keeping the memory alive. As for the ruins, because it’s dangerous to explore they have guards posted out to keep watch, especially by the hidden entrance to Kalich Ilmer itself.
People who witnessed it say it was a scary sight to behold, that it felt different from Lady Merthicz’ true nature.
Manifestation
A big flood that came from nowhere with pure blue water. The waves had an odd hexagon shape to it that essentially contained the flood, causing all sorts of ripples and whirlpools that reached up halfway the mountain.
Localization
The flood only affected the monasteries in the area where Kalich Ilmer stands today. Every other part surrounding the area was completely unaffected and the water supernaturally Created its own waves to ensure nothing hit the surrounding area.
