Angalt Heirloom

The Angalts have a few known heirlooms that they love dearly. The butterfly ring is one of their most precious heirlooms because of its history.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The gems in the ring hold the source of the enchantment, while the metal directs where the magical energy to flow. It does need to be recharged monthly to keep up the effect, and failing to do so once can cause it to fail permanently due to its age. All it requires to recharge the gems is for it to absorb the blood of the current leader of the family.

Manufacturing process

It’s a secret! The only mention of the process making it was that the metal was smelted using the fire of a star.

History

A lot is debated about the origins of the ring; because it’s been in the family for as long as they’ve existed, not much is remembered about its early history. It is known though that the ring was crafted by a group of giant aliens, a gift to symbolise hope and transformation as the family at the time was struggling to survive.   The ring had been enchanted to grant them luck. Although the enchantment wasn’t all that powerful, it was enough for the Angalts to live comfortably in Hell despite their opposition from other demons.   Most notably, it saved Lord Cathal’s grandfather countless times from Lords trying to conquer the area they reside in, helping him permanently fend them off, and even forge allies.   Currently, Lord Cathal possesses the ring, and plans to pass it down to his eldest child, Ædan when he dies.
