Session 88 - May 13, 2021 Report
General Summary
1305 - 1st Moon of Summer (Korbrar) 26th Day
- The pets fly out and try to find the quarry, succeeding after some flying in circles. Since there are not Kobolds present, they scout and return to the camp sight, 15-20 mins outside of where the stones were.
- The party sets up the dome and rests for the night.
- Just before dawn, Roth hears something, and send Olly to investigate. Olly sees 9 Kobolds.
- The party wakes up and stealthily heads to the area, where an invisible Ari and Alethra cast a rainbow blade and shatter (at the same time) each killing 4 kobolds. Roth then shoots the last Kobold with an arrow.
- The loot is 2 rusted dagger, 9 slings, 1 short shord, and 5 cp (shiny). There are also some questionable rations, likely crocodile. Enough for 4 people for 2 days.
- After the bodies are taken away from the site and disposed of, the party moves to its next ambush site.
- They set up about 30-40 ft off the road, near a T intersection, and prepare to ambush the next party which goes to check on the party that they killed.
- Ari went hunting for fresh meat, Roth and Alethra were able to foragge for some berries and leaves. Merry cast Tiny Servant and made another mushroom guard that marches around on the 3rd day. After the spell fades, Ari eats the top of the White Cap Mushroom with no ill effects.
- Before dawn on the 4th day, Roth hears Kobolds on the road. The party is able to easily dispatch the 3 they find, moving the bodies off the road. They find 3 daggers, 3 slings, and 2 gold.
- The party rests for another hour or two to complete a long rest, then begins walking toward the dragon's encampment. Plans are made, and 3 goats summoned from the bag of tricks Ari carries. Dragon flies over head in small circles, party hides.
- The party moves to the south west of the main keep, and casts a combination silence and shatter spells.
- The goats move in front of the dragon's keep, and the Dragon orders its minions to bring it goat for breakfast. Two kobolds move to catch the goats, Roth realizes 1 is carrying a familiar staff of fireball, and so Roth shots at it. With that shot, the Kobold yells "We are under attack" and all the kobolds come rushing out to help "fight".
- Olly fireballs 9 kobolds in 1 spell, and the Draconic presence is able to frighten both Olly and Roth for 1 round. The goats kill off the kobolds that are left, while the dragon splits it time dealing the spell thrown from Ari and Merry. Alethra helps in picking off the Kobolds. Ari got the staff and was able to cast fireball at the dragon.
- After 2 high level fire spells, Merry is trapped in a small stone hunt and goes unconscious. Ari summons 13 Beserkers from the Brass Horn of Vahalla. They are able to take out 1/3 of the dragon's health, and when it flies away, the acid spray from the bloodied frenzy takes out the 13. The dragon, wounded flies onto the roof of it's keep and yells to the sky its lament and fury.
- Roth then took it out with a final exploding arrow, it bleeding acid all over the roof.
